I’m someone who is always wanting to build something, make something, but I can’t seem to stay interested in any one project for too long.
Often I find that one of the barriers for me is not actually ‘finishing’ something due to time, materials or an over exagerated idea of my own skills.
Woodturning is a new hobby, but something my father did and I grew up appreciating beautifully turned wood by the likes of the English woodturner Peter Spears.
Wood turning gives me the satisfaction of creating something and the ability to actually complete a project in an evening or two, which is wonderful.
I’m really looking forward to creating some interesting items and experimenting with more modern forms and materials.
